Below there is a basic list of all useful German abbreviations you may find in German texts.
Anh. – Anhang -> attachment
AW – Antwort -> Re:, in reply
bspw. – beispielsweise -> for example
Bhf. – Bahnhof -> train station
bzgl. – bezüglich -> regarding
bzw. – beziehungsweise -> respectively
ca. – circa -> circa, approximately
Chr. – Christus -> Christ
d.h. – das heißt -> i.e., that is
Dipl.-Ing. – Diplom-Ingenieur -> Graduate engineer
Dir. – Direktor -> director, manager
eigtl. – eigentlich -> actually
einschl. – einschließlich -> including
engl. – englisch -> English
evtl. – eventuell -> perhaps
