1. Die Sache klappt. – It works (everything is fine)
2. Für wen halten Sie mich? – Who do you take me for?
3. Sie hat Pech gehabt. – She had bad luck.
4. Ich habe letztendlich Schwein gehabt. – Finally I was lucky.
5. Ich fasse mich kurz. – I will be brief.
6. Er ist geschäftlich verreist. – He is away on business.
7. Meines Erachtens ist die Situation gerade umgekehrt. – In my opinion, the situation is just the opposite.
8. Wir haben die Achtung unserer Kollegen genossen. – We enjoyed the respect of our colleagues.
9. Das kommt mir gelegen. – That perfectly suits me.

18. Sie könnte mir keine Auskunft erteilen. – She couldn’t provide me with any information.
19. Es gibt Situationen wie diese, die schlicht und einfach unberechenbar sind. – There are situations like this that are simply unpredictable.
20. Er würde durchdrehen, wenn er das wüsste. – He would go crazy if he knew that.
21. Sie wird sich ab jetzt um dich kümmern. – She will look after you from now on.
22. Ich komme mit der Arbeit nicht klar. – I can’t cope with the work.
23. Ich muss nur schlussfolgern aus dem, was ich von Euch weiß. – I just have to draw conclusions from what I know about you.
24. Dieser Streit sollen wir zu Ende bringen. – We should bring this dispute to the end.
25. Ich habe von Bastian Abschied genommen. – I said farewell to Bastian.
